DMD Reunion = Friday July 18 and Sat July 19, 2008 there
will be
a DMD reunion at Eddyville Raceyway. It will be in conjuction with a nostalgic drag event including draglist.com and Ozark Mountain Super Shifters. 14 cars have been found in Iowa that used to race at DMD. I am inviting all of you to bring them to this event even if they don't run and have to be trailered. Also, if you have a special car, that didn't race at DMD, that you would like to bring and display, you are encouraged to do so. Any questions, feel free to contact me. Pacific Junction, IA Nostalgia Drag Event! Guys from the Omaha area have put together a nostalgia Drag Event similar to what
we had at Eddyville July 18 & 19. There will be a gasser Anglia & Willys. Frt
Eng dragsters. Altereds etc. Flag starts from Mert Dunker who did it 50 years
ago at the Omaha Dragway. This is their 2nd year for doing this at MidAmericaMotorplex,
on I29, about 20 miles south of Council Bluffs. There will be some grudge racing on
Fri night the various events & racing on Sat & Sun Sept 13 & 14, 2008. After spending 5 days in the Omaha/Council Bluffs
area, I found that a number of racers from that area raced at DMD. Some
of the guys are still involved with cars. Jon Hall is one such guy.
He won his class at the Geezer reunion this year and last year. George
Roseland was part of a team that recently took a 41 Studebaker to Bonneville.

Des Moines Dragway Reunion Schedule
Since we are meeting in a bldg, we'll meet even if it rains. Friday July 18, 2008 3pm = Gates open 4pm = Main Reunion Event - Recognition of points champions and The Willys raced by the Grove Bros will be there Fri only 7pm = Lou Bredesky slide presentation of DMD pictures. 5 - 10pm = Test and tune runs on the drag strip Saturday July 19, 2008 July 19, 20088am = Gates open 10am
= possible 2nd picture presentation of DMD 10am = Time trials Time unknown = Denny Reed will
be Flagging Possible 2nd recognition of points champions by Timing Tower. Dick Hoover, from Dallas Center not only plans on bringing the 32
